Lakeland Sanitary District 1 offers a wide variety of convenient payment options for our customers. Simply choose the option that best suits your needs.  We also can now offer eBilling!  Please contact our office if you would like to have your future bills emailed directly to you!

DIRECT DEBIT/ AUTO PAYMENTS

Lakeland Sanitary District #1 is happy to announce that we now can offer automatic payments for our customers as another bill pay option. Payments are pulled directly from your account 2-3 business days prior to the due date and there are no fees for this service. Please click HERE to be directed to the direct debit agreement form.  This form will need to be filled out in full and mailed or dropped off at the Lakeland Sanitary District office at 8780 Morgan Road, Minocqua, WI  54548 or submit it via email to [email protected].

PAYMENTS ONLINE

Click HERE to be directed to our bill payment webpage.  We are now partnered with Paystar online bill payments.  Customer will have the options of quick pay or to register their account.  This allows the customer to set up payment options and to view bill and payment history. We gladly accept debit and credit cards including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover.  There is a convenience fee to pay your bill using credit and/or debit cards.  The convenience fee is based on the total amount of your bill.  Below is the breakdown for the fees.

$1 up to $50 - $1.95

$51 up to $100 - $2.95

$101 and more - 2.95% of the total amount due

PAYMENT BY MAIL

If paying by check or money order through the mail, please send all payments with your payment coupon. To avoid late fees, please mail your payment at least five to seven business days before the due date specified on your bill. 

PAYMENT DROP-OFF LOCATION

You may pay your bill in person at our office address. We accept cash, check, money orders and now can accept credit/ debit cards and electronic checks. 

BILLING: Bills for water/sewer service are processed quarterly.  They become due 20 days after being sent.  A late payment charge of 1% per month will be added to bills not paid within 20 days.  This late payment charge will be applied to the total unpaid balance for utility service, including unpaid late payment charges. The late payment charge is applicable to all customers.  Unless payment or satisfactory arrangement for payment is made, disconnect notices will be sent, pursuant to Ch. PSC 185, Wis. Adm. Code.

WATER METER: Should anything go wrong with your meter, do not tamper with it.  Contact the Lakeland Sanitary District, and we will make arrangements to repair or replace it, free of cost to you, provided it is not due to negligence on your part.  Should the meter become damaged due to negligence, the repair cost will be billed to you.

WATER/SEWER LATERALS: The property owner is responsible for maintenance and repair of the water lateral from the curb to the meter.  Sewer laterals must be maintained and repaired by the property owner from the main to the building.

OWNER PAYMENT LIABILITY:  The owner of any premises in which water is used, shall be charged for all water used, and shall be liable for the payment, regardless of who may occupy such premises or use such water.  Upon request, water/sewer bills may be made out in the name of a tenant (a copy of the bill is sent to the owner as well), but in such case the owner of the premises is not relieved of any liablity for the payment of such water/sewer bills.  All delinquent water/sewer bills will be placed on the tax roll at the year end.  A 10% penalty charge will be added to all water/sewer bills placed on the tax roll.
